Women have been making a lot of progress in the past months, years and century in different parts of the world. 2019 is a very special year for women. Exactly 100 years ago, in 1919, for the first time, women have been allowed to participate in the elections in Germany. Also, in January 2019, the first female president of Ethiopia has been elected. This development is a huge and important step. It shows that women in power are being more and more accepted and even wished. This representation matters for young women, especially in Ethiopia.
