#beunstoppable Campaign with Volvic – PROJECT-E Introduces Itself

We proudly present a report about our cooperation with the well-known German brand Volvic, that made us part of their #unstoppable campaign and wrote two wonderful portraits – So yes, what makes us unstoppable?

PROJECT-E is part of the unstoppable campaign of Volvic. Hence, we are one of the “unstoppable stories” in the Volvic blog, which presents stories of human who prove courage, who think further and across, or who engage in a good cause with social commitment.

Based on interviews with our country representative Livia and two members of our public relation team, Mona and me, Nadja, portraits of different facets of our work have been developed in order to especially accentuate the personal side of our commitment.

When we were requested by Volvic for this cooperation, we did not have to think twice about our answer. Of course, we are unstoppable and, hence, we desired to become a member of the initiative. Being able to work together with a company as Volvic is a great chance and, thus, we hope to reach a high number of people in order to communicate our innovative ideas and concepts. Volvic is a popular and widely distributed brand of mineral water with its source in France, but exports to more than 60 countries. It represents a water brand, which concentrates on natural and pure products with and exemplary commitment to the environment and the eco system.

A questionnaire, which we filled out for this cooperation, made as think about PROJECT-E and ourselves. We are a diverse, multifaceted team from different educational backgrounds, hometowns and destinations; however, we are unified in the Team Europe and the Team Addis Ababa by our commitment for PROJECT-E.

During the last eight years, our projects were able to motivate young students and professionals to invest a high portion of their leisure time into the build-up of our hospitality school in Ethiopia: Non-paid and with inexhaustible motivation and creativity. This development was not only remarkable for me but also really impressive. Dealing with the Volvic questionnaire I realized that our work does not only have a great impact on the students of our school but on our own lives. Despite the constantly occurring problems and barriers, which are often connected to administration or lack of time, our achievements show that PROJECT-E is indeed unstoppable.

On the 28th of June 2016, the first article with the title “From students for students: PROJECT-E encourages Ethiopian women to go their own way” was published (unfortunately, in German only). The article highlights what kind of people get involved voluntary with PROJECT-E, what exactly characterizes our students and how PROJECT-E changed their lives. Finally, the most important question focuses on our distinct mission and goals. The straight answer is: PROJECT-E aims at strengthening the position of young women in the Ethiopian society. Through an excellent education our students get access to the Ethiopian job market. Further answers can be found in the full article in the Volvic Blog.

Our organisational profile summarizes further questions from our interviews: Whom do we help? How do we describe ourselves in three words? What breaks us? And what do we learn from Ethiopian women?

The second article was published on the 14th of July 2016 under the title “PROJECT-E: An affair of the heart, which creates future”. The article approaches the reasons for social, voluntary commitment besides studies and work and what exactly gives us the power to overcome problems and barriers.

Last but not least, we thank again for the realization of this cooperation and ensure to continue being #unstoppable.
