The year started out with the 12th strategy weekend of Team Europe in Vienna – plans have been made, events planned and the team has become an even closer one!
The 12th bi-annual strategy weekend of PROJECT-E’s Team Europe took place in Vienna at the beginning of January 2016. A full weekend with a lot of workshops, discussions, forging out plans and team-building! We started off with a little review: every department presented the work of the past six months and a short preview of what lies ahead. The first workshop was conducted in the departments themselves and included a revision of the internal team structure and designing an organigram of members and respective responsibilities. The following discussions included upcoming fundraising activities and PR campaigns with the goal of increasing PROJECT-E’s presence in different media channels, among foundations and the general donor community.
Moreover, workshops took place regarding the collaboration and communication within and between the different Teams in our organization. The work-related side of the strategy weekend was completed with the annual planning for 2016 with concrete deadlines for our work in Europe and the elections of the department heads and the Management Board. Last but not least, the weekend was finished with some team building in the ice skating arena.
We are very much looking forward to the year of 2016 with the Hospitality Institute further pursuing its goal of educating the first year of 20 students in hotel operations.
