What is your background?
I was born in Ethiopia and raised in Australia. I am a recent graduate of the University of Freiburg, where I completed a MA in Global Studies. I am currently based in Berlin, where I am doing an internship. My field of studies encompasses Sociology, Political Science, International Relations, Dynamics of Inequality and Identity Politics. My aim is to find professional work in a field related to my studies, and to make a positive contribution with PROJECT-E.
What is your involvement with PROJECT-E?
I have recently joined PROJECT-E as a “project-based consultant”. In the following months, I will be playing a key role in conducting research relevant to PROJECT-E’s work.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about social change, reading and keeping up to date with political and socio-economic developments throughout the world –particularly throughout Africa, and even narrowed down further – especially in Ethiopia! I also share a passion for trying to better the living conditions of people less fortunate than myself, of Ethiopian history and culture and sharing that with people who are not familiar to it, for the environment and learning languages and about different people and cultures.
