Today we are learning a bit more about Lara, from Talent Management
What is your background?
I completed a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in European Studies in Vienna, and in September I will start a master’s in International Development in Edinburgh. Parallel to my academic studies, I completed an internship at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna with the Civil Society Team, worked as a volunteer with refugees in Austria and Portugal and as an administrative assistant at a medical practice in Vienna. Having always been interested in international development and education, I am glad to be part of PROJECT-E.
What is your involvement with PROJECT-E?
I am working in the Talent Management Department of PROJECT-E. My main tasks include listing and reviewing applications, contacting and interviewing applicants, as well as recruiting new team members through job postings. Currently, I am furthermore completing an International Internship at the PROJECT-E Hospitality Institute in Addis Ababa and supporting Team Addis in several tasks.
What are you passionate about?
I love doing things which have a positive impact on people’s lives, such as teaching languages, teaching how to read and write, taking care of children and working for charitable organisations. I am passionate about seeing people developing their skills and personality and reaching their full potential. Therefore, I am very happy to be part of the team to empower Ethiopian women and girls!
