This week, we are starting to introduce you staff members from the Institute in Addis. For the first interview from #TeamAddis, Alemayehu is answering our questions.

1. What is your background?

I have got a background in teaching and hold a Bachelor of Education (BED) Degree in English Education.

2. What is your involvement with PROJECT-E?

I am part of the academic staff at the Hospitality Institute teaching English for Hotel Operation. I am also involved in day-to-day operations of the Institute. I am the only male employee at the Institute and I love being able to support the girls as a “big brother”.

3. What are you passionate about?

I want to see Ethiopian girls and women at the forefront of our society and in leadership positions. Thus, I will be there to support all efforts focusing on women empowerment, as I endeavour to see a highly egalitarian society in the country.
