This week, for the 20th part of our Team Thursday series, we introduce Sara López Henao to you, who recently joined the Talent Management Team of PROJECT-E.
1.What’s your background?
I got a degree in Law from the Medellin University in Colombia; I had a focus on public law and I also took some courses in the field of conciliation and peaceful ways to resolve conflicts. During my internship, I was working as a volunteer with the human rights department in the Colombian institution “Procuraduría Regional de Antioquia” in Medellín. Currently, I am based in Germany and I will start my Master’s Degree in Intercultural Conflict Management at the Alice Salomon University in Berlin for the winter semester 2018.
2. What’s your involvement with PROJECT-E?
I am an active member of the Talent Manager Department. At the moment, my task is focused on developing and improving processes within Team Europe. This means that I am looking for ways to make our work more efficient between the teams, listening to suggestions and feedback from each member, and keeping the Team motivated to engage in this amazing project and to continue empowering women through education.
3. What are you passionate about?
I’ve always liked to work and tried to make this world a better place and to help others. Since I was a little girl I have been involved in many different groups and projects who focused on community service – for example, I was a scout for more than 12 years. I also love music, sports and reading and I am super interested in history.
